Regardless of what happens on Christmas Day between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers, their first foray out West this season has been an undeniable success.
They have dealt with a series of setbacks that rather than come to define them and this trip, have only made the more determined to do more than just win games, but do so emphatically.
And the driving force behind their success isn’t just Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White or any other individual player.
Watching them play, this team is driven more than anything else by the ‘D’ word - and no, we ain’t talking defense!
