The Boston Celtics are on a historic pace when it comes to 3-point shooting in its quest to win a second straight NBA title.

BOSTON — The diameter size of an NBA rim is supposed to be 18 inches.
You wouldn’t have known it by how Jaylen Brown came out shooting the ball in Boston’s 107-105, scoring Boston’s first 15 points in less than five minutes, all coming on 3-pointers.
But there was a problem.
Nobody else for Boston was scoring, the kind of offensive futility that kept the Minnesota Timberwolves within striking distance most of the game and truth be told, allowed the Timberwolves to withstand multiple surges to find themselves one shot away from forcing overtime or winning in Boston - something they have not done in nearly 20 years.
But the win, like most this season, served as a reminder of this team’s ethos - see the three, be the three.
“We do take a lot of 3’s,” said Al Horford, a converted back-to-the-basket forward/center who is now one of the NBA’s best 3-point shooting big men. “That’s a big part of who we are, our identity.”
