Post-Game sights, sounds from Celtics season-opening win over New York
Kristaps Porzingis was the star of the night. We hear from him as well as Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday and our dear old friend Marcus Smart, now in Memphis.
“It’s an awesome feeling to come back now, being a Celtic and play here (in Madison Square Garden),” Porzingis told reporters after the game. “Even getting bood and all that … I enjoy that. But most important, we won the game. And I’m excited what we have ahead of us.”
Here’s more from Porzingis following his Celtics debut, courtesy of CLNS Media Network.
“He just makes us more dynamic; obviously, with his size, ability to shoot, make plays off the dribble,” Jayson Tatum told reporters, referring to Porzingis. “He’s really good, and we’re lucky to have him.”

“Resilient; no matter if we’re down … we always have a chance,” Celtics newcomer Jrue Holiday, told reporters when asked what he learned about the team in his first game as a Celtic.

And as a bonus, here’s former Celtic Marcus Smart (now with the Memphis Grizzlies) talking after Memphis’ season-opening loss to New Orleans.
