BOSTON — The Boston Celtics’ transition train continues to chug along, with the latest departure being Luke Kornet.
The now-former backup center for the Celtics has taken his talents to the San Antonio Spurs after agreeing to a four-year, $41 million contract.
His departure creates another hole in the lineup that Brad Stevens and the Celtics need to fill between now and the start of the regular season.
But more than roster realignment, Kornet’s deal serves as a reminder of why making a career pitstop in Boston is usually a good thing for all involved.
