Mavericks keep season, improbable title hopes alive with Game 4 rout of the Celtics

Dallas took control of Game 4 about midway through the first quarter, and never looked back to avoid a sweep. Now the Celtics will try to bring home Banner 18 at the TD Garden in Game 5 on Monday.

DALLAS — Before Game 4 of the NBA Finals tipped off, the Dallas Mavericks public address crew played many songs from various periods.

Among the musical selections was “Stayin Alive” by the Bee Gees.

It was a fitting song because, for most of Game 4, it could have equally represented the Dallas Mavericks’ theme for the night.
