The police have arrested former UVA football player Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. who faces three charges of second-degree murder and three counts of using a handgun in the commission of a felony, according to UVA Police Chief Timothy Longo Sr.
UVA President Jim Ryan said UVA football players Devin Chandler, Davis Jr. and D’Sean Perry, were those killed by Jones.
There were two others injured in the shooting, with one in critical condition and the other in good condition, according to Ryan who declined to identify those injured.
“It’s tragic what happened today,” Hauser said. “Sad day at UVA. You never expect anything like that to happen; my prayers go out to them.”
