There was a lot of good talk following Boston’s thrilling 114-111 Game 3 win over Indiana.
But Jaylen Brown probably said it best when describing how challenging this game was for a Celtics team facing a Pacers squad that was without their best player Tyrese Haliburton who was out with a hamstring injury.
“They didn’t miss a lot of shots,” Brown said. “It was tough. They were shooting the ball well. Some of those guys, they turned into f___ing Michael Jordan or whatever. It was like, ‘man what is going on?’ We couldn’t figure it out. But fourth quarter, we stayed close enough.”
Indeed, the Pacers shot better than 60 percent from the field for most of the game and finished connecting on 50.5 percent of their shots.
One of the keys to Boston being able to withstand 40-plus minutes of Indiana playing well, was the play of Jrue Holiday down the stretch.
His play was among the discussion topics in CLNS Media Network’s post-game show, The Garden Report.
Hear more from Brown and other key performers in Boston’s Game 3 victory which gave Boston a 3-0 series lead with a chance to move on to the NBA Finals with a win on Monday.
