First Look at filling Celtics Roster holes begins with Vegas Summer League

When it comes to Summer League basketball for the Boston Celtics in recent years, the best-case scenario for those who stand out is a spot near the end of the team’s playing rotation.
But the Boston Celtics’ Vegas Summer League entry this year is filled with players who come in with something few in recent years have possessed: hope for playing a meaningful role this season.
As part of the retooling of the Celtics roster this season, several roster holes were created following players such as Kristaps Porzingis (Atlanta), Jrue Holiday (Portland) being traded, and Luke Kornet signing with the San Antonio Spurs.
Throw into the mix Jayson Tatum’s Achilles injury that will likely keep him out most, if not all, of the 2025-2026 season, and it’s clear that opportunities in the front court and at the wing position are there for the taking.
The first look at players to occupy those voids begins this week as Boston kicks off its slate of Summer League games in Las Vegas.
Here’s a look at the Boston Celtics’ 2025 Vegas League Summer Roster.
