BOSTON — Inside the Boston Celtics locker room, players were made aware prior to Game 5 that the last three times they played a team minus at least one of their top players, the end result was a Boston loss.
You can add Tuesday’s Game 5 tilt against Atlanta to the list, with Boston once again allowing an undermanned team to hang around and in the end, hand them yet another, “I know they didn’t lose to that team” kind of defeat as the Hawks kept their season alive with a 119-117 win.
