BOSTON - Here are some of the highlights from Chauncey Billups chatting with the media prior to the Portland Trail Blazers playing the Boston Celtics.
0:37 Billups on being back where his career started, and some of those early struggles. “I was just so excited, to be here,” he said. “The way they played … I thought it was going to be perfect, and obviously it wasn’t. It took time. It all worked out; I’m grateful for the struggles that I had early. I thought it made me so much better in my prime.”

“I’ve always been pretty patient. I come from that ‘oven’ generation, not the microwave generation … gotta let it cook for a while. That’s always been a good thing of mine. I always thought I could do anything, and everything, In due time and given the time. Sometimes in any sport, if you don’t get time to mature, different pressures … patience has been a big thing for me.”
