Celtics improved intensity at both ends of the floor make any hope of a Magic upset disappear

BOSTON — There are 1,291 miles between the cities of Boston and Orlando, Fla.
In terms of basketball, the gap is even wider between the two NBA franchises especially when it comes to the 3-point shot.
The Celtics led the NBA in 3-pointers taken last season, and are on pace to do so again and set a new league record in the process.
And then there’s the Magic at the opposite end of the 3-point shooting spectrum, connecting on a paltry 30.7% of their 3’s this season which ranks dead-last in the NBA.
Orlando’s long-range lulls were just one of the many things that did not go their way on Friday night as the Boston Celtics (29-12) pulled away for a comfortable 121-94 win.
