Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell has been everywhere during this playoff series with the Boston Celtics.
But his latest location, the Cavaliers injury report, is one he would much rather be nowhere near this time of year.
The news only got worse shortly before tip-off when according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Mitchell will miss tonight’s Game 4 tilt due to his left calf injury.
Mitchell is the latest playoff superstar who has elevated his play at a time when key teammates are out with injuries.
Lifting that kind of weight this time of year against quality teams comes at a price that will cost Mitchell playing time and potentially any hopes of pulling off a series upset against Boston which leads the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Game 4 tonight in Cleveland.
