Another Trip Around the Sun, with New Adventures on the Horizon.
For those who didn't know, yesterday was my birthday and yes, it was one of those memorable, “This ain’t just another lap around the sun” kinds of birthdays.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve viewed each birthday as an opportunity to appreciate where I've been, and power ahead with and try something new.
That’s exactly what’s going to happen in the very near future with Full Court Press.
I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed bringing you basketball content the past year and some change on the Meta Bulletin platform.
But as you’ve probably heard by now, Meta has decided to go in a different direction and discontinue the Bulletin platform sometime next year. My content will still be on this platform for at least another couple of weeks, before being rebranded and then transitioning over to Substack.
Just a few things for my subscribers to keep in mind. For those who are premium subscribers, let me start off by saying Thank You for providing the kind of encouragement and support, both in your words and resources, to allow me to continue doing what I truly love - telling sports stories.
For those who had an annual premium subscription, you are going to get a full refund for the current year. And those of you who subscribe on a monthly basis, you too will receive a refund courtesy of Meta.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: In order to get refunded by Bulletin, you’ll need to keep your subscription as it is currently. So you don’t need to do anything to get refunds until the time that Meta Bulletin shuts things down which will likely be sometime in the early stages of 2023.
While it’s certainly disappointing, what I will miss the most - besides you all - are the people at Meta that I worked with regularly. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly some of the relationships I formed with the folks at Meta grew, relationships that I know won’t go away even as we say goodbye to the Bulletin platform.
So again, thank you so much for going along with me on this journey, which isn’t over.
I will keep you all abreast of my next move which should be coming very soon.
In the meantime, I’ll continue to create content (Can't ever get away from Kyrie, right?) and start the process today of preparing for my next content-creating adventure and of course, another trip around the sun.
